2020 has definitely been an interesting and challenging year, however at the same time many good and positive things have been achieved. One of these has to be Chefs with Compassion, we started this journey in early April not knowing the impact we were going to have on many lives. 7 months later, we rescued well over 350 tonnes of produce and have fed over 1.5 millions meals through our 87 beneficiaries with the incredible help of our amazing volunteers, food rescuers, kitchens, chefs, farmers, manufacturers, retailers, market agents, sponsors and donors.

The need however is greater than ever before and many lives have become reliant on Chefs with Compassion due to unfortunate effects of the pandemic and lockdown with many of them losing their income and becoming destitute.

As we begin the week leading to my birthday and this year coinciding with the Hindu celebration of Deepavali – the festival of light which symbolizes the spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. I make this humble appeal to you all to make a donation to Chefs to Compassion so that we are able to continue our mission of feeding the nation and to be the light to overcome this massive darkness that affects a huge part of our population- hunger!
